Ready Attention Go

Ready Attention Go is an app designed to assess attention strengths and weaknesses in children through a series of fun, scientifically designed games.

The challenge was transforming a clinically validated assessment tool into an engaging and accessible experience for kids with diverse needs. This required creating a magical, kid-friendly world filled with quirky characters, an enchanting story, and interactive gameplay that balanced clinical rigor with playfulness.

As the project lead within a small team, I took on multiple roles to ensure a cohesive experience, overseeing everything from design to storytelling and music.

The collaboration and dedication of our small team were recognised with a Red Dot Design Award, underscoring the impact of our work in delivering an innovative user experience for a meaningful cause.

Game design

Working closely with the chief scientist, we pushed to make these attention challenges intuitive and engaging for all children, whether neurotypical or neurodiverse.

To enhance the experience, we sprinkled in moments of humour and surprise, ensuring the app remained fun and enjoyable throughout.

Character design

A variety of characters were created for the world of Ready Attention Go, including the narrator, Amity, the player characters, Talis, and a host of strange and wonderful creatures.
