Australian Open - Fan Fit

Two activation experiences were developed for the Fan Fit program at the Australian Open to promote health and wellbeing.

Located in Rod Laver Arena, these interactive experiences invited fans to test their eyesight and reaction times throughout the Grand Slam event.

Hawkeye

The first experience invited tennis fans to challenge their eyesight against the renowned Hawkeye line call system. With slow-motion replays, directional speakers, and the classic ‘slow clap,’ we created a fun, high-drama experience that captured the excitement and atmosphere tennis fans know and love.

Quick catch

The second activation tested reaction times, putting fans in the stands to catch as many tennis balls as possible in 30 seconds. Using Kinect sensors, virtual tennis balls were launched towards players at different speeds, with significant pre-production effort dedicated to ensuring the experience felt intuitive and natural.
